Portchester Health Centre - Portchester

Portchester Health Centre is a busy health centre offering various services to the local community with limited access and external space. As part of the buildings lifecycle it required a complete internal refurbishment as well as roof replacement. The health centre is adjoined to the local library and shares its main entrance and localised parking. We therefore had to programme the works to ensure that both the health centre and its neighbours could operate as usual whilst maintaining access and parking for the public. Communication and liaison were key to ensure the works were completed alongside the services being run and this was reflected within the programme. The internal works were phased and the roofing works replicated each phase, as well as this there was a requirement for a temporary roof, being one of the largest ever constructed in the area it required out of hours working and sequencing allowing the health centre to maintain services and minimal disruption the public.
